Silhouettes

Since the 18th Century, silhouette portraits have been created to capture the image of a loved one. Traditionally, they have been cut from paper, usually black cardstock. I have put a wooden spin on the tradition by carving silhouettes into maple and using stain to highlight the image.

The labyrinth offers the opportunity to trust that the path will lead you to your goal.
